Car Protection Packages
Vettura's fleet vehicles are all covered by compulsory liability insurance against third parties, animals, or property (excluding those being transported). The rental includes the CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and TP (Theft Protection) to limit economic liability in case of damage or theft of the vehicle. The amount of the limitation varies depending on the rented vehicle group. For more information, please contact our rental offices.
Collision Damage Waiver
CDW coverage limits the Client's liability to the payment of the expected compensatory penalty in case of damage. It applies only in cases where the causes of damage are not attributable to the Client's negligence or violation of the General Rental Conditions. This coverage is always included in the rates and cannot be deducted, even if the cost is detailed in the Rental Agreement.
Theft Protection
TP coverage limits the Client's liability for compensatory penalties in the event of partial or total theft. This coverage excludes transported objects, valuables or property, and only applies in cases where the causes are not attributable to the Client's negligence and/or violation of the General Rental Conditions. TP does not cover the theft or loss of any additional equipment (navigator, Wi-Fi, etc.) or the breakage or loss of keys. This coverage is always included in the rates and cannot be deducted, even if the cost is detailed in the Rental Agreement.
Vettura rates include the limitation of the Customer's liability in the event of damage and theft. There remains a charge, commonly referred to as the "Excess", which is the maximum amount the customer will be charged in the event of damage or theft and varies according to the type of vehicle rented (see our Excess Table for more details). This charge can be reduced or eliminated by adding one of our damage or theft covers.
Silver / Smart protection
The Silver cover eliminates the Customer's financial liability in the event of damage to the bodywork, excluding damage to the roof, underbody, tyres, windscreen, windows, headlights and direction indicators, only in cases where the causes are not attributable to the Customer's negligence and/or breach of the General Rental Conditions.
• Does not cover theft, partial theft, attempted theft of the vehicle and/or damage to accessories, interior, loss or breakage of keys and fuel contamination.
• Provides for claim handling charges.
• Includes Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection.
• Does not include Glass & Tyres, Roof & Underbody and the Additional Roadside Assistance.
Gold / Full protection
The Gold Cover eliminates the Customer's financial liability in the event of damage to the bodywork, roof, underbody, tyres, windscreen, windows, headlights and direction indicators, only in cases where the causes are not attributable to the Customer's negligence and/or breach of the General Rental Conditions.
• Does not cover theft, partial theft, attempted theft of the vehicle and/or damage to accessories, interior, lost or broken keys and fuel contamination.
• Does not provide claims handling charges except in the case of theft, partial theft and attempted theft.
• Includes Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection.
• Includes Glass & Tyre, Roof & Underbody cover.
• Does not include the Additional Roadside Assistance cover.
Platinum / All inclusive protection
The Platinum cover eliminates the Customer's financial liability in the event of damage to the bodywork, roof, underbody, tyres, windscreen, windows, headlights, direction indicators, as well as in the event of theft, partial theft and attempted theft, only if the causes are not attributable to the Customer's negligence and/or breach of the General Rental Conditions.
• Does not cover theft and/or damage to additional equipment, interiors, lost or broken keys and fuel contamination.
• Does not provide claims handling charges.
• Includes Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection.
• Includes Glass & Tyre, Roof & Underbody and the Additional Roadside Assistance cover.
